Ok i recently bought a set of Montreal II's so that im off of those damn Hubs.
they are 16" with 205/55 tyres the back go on without a problem though the front is a lil dodgy. (standard suspension atm, due to funds. as always)
which tyres does anyone advise and the profile what is it that you guys would put onto them?
Opinions welcomed

I run monty 2's on my standard height 9N with no issues.
Tyres are 205/45/16.
55's are for the Golf.

I wouldnt advise running 55's, as they are golf tyres. I ran them for about a week or so, and it makes the steering really heavy! and uncomfortable to drive, im sure there also alot of mechanical disadvantages if you continue to run them. vw recommends 205/45, but i run 195/45 as the tyre side profile is smaller. but if you want wider tyres, you could get 205/40.

Bear in mind the change on the speedo if you dont run 205/45

205 45 16. 215 45 16 is fine as well, even though it's not an "official" size for the polo. Get a decent brand tyre in any of those sizes (whichever's cheapest) and be on your way.

for performance on standard suspension toyo t1r's hands down an awesome tyre! grips like no other street tyre only thing if you drive hard everywhere they literally melt away lol but a mix of driving and you should see 12,000 miles which isnt bad for the performance!
