If the brake fluid hasnt been changed yet it may be worth doing that at the same time. often overlooked and makes a big difference

Cabin filter as well! not essential to performance of the car but all the air you breath goes through that first and you will be horrified to see how dirty they become.

Its a 5 minute job and the filter is about £5.

Cam belt is at 4 years or 60,000 miles. You don't need to change the water pump but it makes sense to - VW only charge £60 or so extra to do it and it could save a big bill in the future.

Otherwise it's just filters, plugs, general visual inspections of the entire car. I've got mine going in on Monday for all this to be done. Service is over £200 IIRC which is a bit grim though...

Thought it was 60k but seemed a bit high! You can't put a price on maintaining a performance car like this though

Citygate Colindale? I wouldn't go near them with a barge pole mate. They broke the diagnostic port connector off my last Polo and taped it back on backwards in the hope I wouldn't notice, and then put a whacking great buffer trail down one side. Complete cowboys IMO. The Alan Day garages around London are alright, prices are the same but a much better service I find.

In all honesty then if it doesn't have it it isn't worth it. As long ad it's done by someone who knows what they're doing. To put it into consideration I got my timing belt and water pump done for £60 parts, £100 labour and then £150 for an MOT and service that included the price for all service parts too

Thanks for the advice i've had my fair share of problems with a number of citygates already in the parts department there one of the biggest supplier in london of VW original parts went there to order the cup bumpers 4 times the guy wouldn't take my order even though i was paying cash kept saying there on back order for 3 months, then he decided to become cocky i can take your money no problem. That really pissed me off. In the end i had a mate in the trade who contacted him, made the order i had the parts in 4 working days. Just goes to show how unprofessional citygate are.

i'll check out alan day its a bit far though nearest one is hampstead or croydon

what price would be fair? For a full service(oil change, oil filter change, fuel filter change, spark plugs change and air filter change), cambelt change , water pump change and break fluid change. It include parts and labour
