Hi there, I'm having trouble trying to drop the shock out from the lower arm, I have about an inch left before its free but I physically can't get it no further, can anyone help me please?
Thanks
Sam.

Keep the top mounts done up, use an Allen key to separate the hub. Then place a breaker bar on the flat part of the hub, the use a hammer to hit the breaker bar forcing the hub down.
Lots of wd40 helps as well!

Geometry is ever-so-slightly different on this polo, I know that's the way to get them out and it's pretty easy on a mk4 golf as I did it many a time, the driver's side being harder than the passenger side.
You are using the spreader tool yeah? you also have the swaybar links undone?
if you want, shoot me a PM and I can email you the technical pages from the manual but they are vastly different to the mothod you're using, they might give you some ideas though....
