Help with fitting "non-vw" sports seats into 9n
Hi, I'm interested in fitting some reclining leather sports seats in my 3 door 9n polo. But im not sure whether the seats will fit or how I would go about installing them. I have attached a picture of the seat runners below. I would appreciate it if someone could shed some light on this matter, regarding whether it would be a straight swap job or I would require some sort of universal frame. Thank you.

It'd probably most efficient to whip one of your standard seats out and have a measure up. (you may be able to measure round them, without the need to remove) ...The width apart of the rails is the 1st thing I'd check. If that's similar, measure front to back between the fixing bolts on the car, then see if the runners on your seat would accommodate holes to suit.

cheers buddy. Do you know if this will trigger the airbag light. Which is now an mot failure.

I'd guess you'd need the battery disconnected while you do it. Not sure how the system likes having less airbags than it's "meant" to have... Honestly, I've no idea... [sorry not to be more use - I'm more of a Weber carb kind of guy!!]
