You cannot buy one ready smoothed, you will need to do it yourself.

You can get the strip off ebay for about £20-£25, I bought one then decided it would be too much hassle to do

Buy two. Melt a flat section from the second in place and sand and paint? Seems soo much hassle though.

tbf the 6n2 look so much better without the front number plate. I'd love to do it to mine, and then get one of these bad boys for the fun of it lol

i want one of these....!!!!! can you actually buy them or are they custom made? we used to have a thing like this on our motorbikes, there was a springand a catch on a frame with the rear plate went on and then if you came round a corner at a ton and there was a camera there you just pressed a button on the bars and it popped down but then you had to reach back and clip it back up, the motorised version is well trick!! abit slow tho :(

It's a VW part number Alex posted up a while back in an old thread, believed to be a jap spec front strip.

As for the plates there are two types available, one being hand operated and one being motorised. I'm in the process write now at doing it lol, check this out mate.!!

yh smart..... trouble is there us spec plates and not uk, so unless you run a smaller plate the uk one wont fit in the carrier, and if you run a smaller plate you'l more than likely get pulled anyway so you may aswell just leave it on and on your dash... maybe they make a uk one soon? unless you could modify the carrier somehow...
