Bulb monitoring light?

Post by jamesagordon »

(also my traction control and ABS light after fitting coilies)

So I bought some 501 LEDs to swap for my standard interior bulbs and I was having a few issues, some were working and then some weren't, anyway after fiddling about for a bit i turned my electrics on and my bulb monitoring warning light came up on the dash and there was a weird ticking noise coming from the dash too. I turned the electrics off and swapped back to my standard bulbs and its still doing it and now none of the interior lights work.

Anyone know how to fix this please?

Can I just reset my ECU, if so how without VAGCOM?

It's just a fuse, I did the same then left it, im the drivers footwell you'll see a flap, undo it and locate fuse 21 iirc and replace that and just leave it lol it'll sort all them problems, the coilie lights sound weird though :S mine are all fine no lights.

You may need to put a new one in to stop the ticking mate, I had to put up with it for four days I was ready to top myself lol.

It's so annoying! I'll try it when I get the car back. The dent that dosey woman put in the side of my car is being repaired, apparently the garage need it for 8 days?! I've got a newer bigger engined polo as a replacement but I'm missing mine already! :(
