New member - help needed!

Hi,

I just bought a 9n 1.2s (65) in summer blue. Looking to do a few mods in the coming weeks and need some advice, i've found what i needed but just not sure if they are the correct parts.

On my list is:

If you after new headlight bulbs MTEC are good. http://www.hids-direct.co.uk/mtec-12v-1 ... lass-bulbs.

Not sure what the exhaust tip will look like or fit like. You might be better off cutting the pipe so it doesn't point down and then fitting a straight tip. Someone who's fitted a tip on here might offer more info.

I personally wouldnt recommend MTEC bulbs, for starters they were a b**** to fit, they just wouldnt sit secure, therefore the light angle was way off, most probably why i recieved my fair share of road rage from oncoming drivers. Oh and also, they were so hot, it somewhat melted the inside edges of my light unit.
After blinding people for a month, I thought it would be wise to replace them with my old dull standard bulbs. I still think they are mighty cool though! Dangerous, but cool..

Cheers for replies, just debadged it, want to keep the rear wiper on, i'll see how these bulbs fit. Also want to get a cone shape air filter, few nice ones on ebay.

To be fair, you shouldnt fit 100W headlight bulbs in standard car headlights in any case

They are rated to hold 55W bulbs - 100W bulbs burn almost twice as hot, and are in fact not road legal and for rally use only.

Some members have used these 55w MTECs without issue:

While they may look cool, the light output won't be as good as a decent "conventional colour" bulb like Philips Xtreme Vision.

believe it or not lads, i had the 55w cosmo/cosmic blue ones. and they were BRIGHTTT, as you can tell from the pictures, almost blue. infact blue.

Sorry I thought I'd posted the link to the 55w bulbs. I have them fitted in mine and I've had no issues. Had no issues when fitting and I have to take my bumper off to change any of my headlight bulbs.

Ive fitted various headlight bulbs, and multiple HID kits to 9n and 9n3 models without having to take the bumper off!

And the exhaust tip on these models just looks odd. The angle of the exhaust pipe isnt forgivingly designed sadly.

you can do with out takeing the bumpert but its a bit of a pig
