Polo Highline Cluster

Post by Eddie-gt »

Just Bought these to go in my new car when I get it.
I paid less than half what they sell for at the dealers, they are brand New

I'm looking at buying a Polo with Petrol engine, as there is no Diesel version of the Highline Cluster

Apart from the Highline Cluster, I would be looking to add the following

Mfsw
Cruise Control
Factory Alarm (If not installed)
RNS510 Navigation
Rain Sensing Wipers (if not installed)
Optical Parking
Rear View Camera Badge Type from Golf 6 (already fitted one to an R Line Polo and liked it)
Factory Bluetooth with Voice Control

They came from the supplier where I get the RNS510 Navigation systems from.
They were £160 which is great value compared to the retail price at the dealers which is £435

Just need to find a car to put them in. Not sure if I should go for the 1.2 or 1.4

Eddie, do the added features of the system work with the base model Polos?

I have a 6R 1.2 S, the peasant spec one... Would this simply pop in and work? Surely not?!

The 1.2

TSI 8)

But seriously though my 1.2 60 clocked out at 6000rpm, I don't know if the 1.4 is the same.

I did notice that both the 1.4 (85ps) and all varients of the 1.2 don't rev upto 6800

But as there is no other cluster with Highline computer other than the GTi, it is the only option.
I'm sure whatever I end up with I won't rev the engine till it goes bang

Does anyone know if this highline cluster works with the basic Polo S 1.2 (60)?

I assume basic features work and some of the stuff such as MPG doesn't?

There is a group buy actually on a french "Polo" forum.
and they can have the GTI cluster for Diesel and Gasoline with Skoda Rapid view

They will order it here :

And of course, they got a good discount on the products.

I can get them for less, and they are all in KM

I also can fit them, on most cars before mid 2012

Does that mean that the Polo clusters are the same size etc as the Fabia clusters? And only differ in the fonts etc on the cluster? Because that's really annoying- the Fabia is available with the 'Maxi-Dot' cluster (which I take to mean Highline) but the regular Polos aren't.

Polo and Skoda clusters are the same inside (apart from the Welcome message and the lighting)
A skoda fabia cluster probably can be fitted to a polo, but would need the front visor from the polo cluster as that is different

here's a colour Scirocco one I tried today in my Skoda today

Hmmm the cluster fitted to the new Seat Toledo looks suspiciously similar to the Polo clusters, but is available with a highline option. Anyone know what the lighting is like in the Toledo? I'm assuming that the Rapid's cluster is in the familiar Skoda green, but the Seat cluster looks the same as the VW ones, the only question is whether the cluster has red or white internal lighting.
