A couple quick questions...

Post by Ant168 »

Hi guys,

1.I want to know is there anyway of mending my headlight or will I need to buy a new, as you can see-the left hand side doesn't sit inside it's case properly: Image

2. Is something wrong if my car is VERY unresponsive in the low end?? Especially from idle, even if I put my foot to the floor in neutral, the revs climbs very slow. When I pull away at the lights, the car seems to struggle or hold back and never pulls off cleanly. I have already cleaned the throttle body, had the clutch changed, got a new air filter and spark plugs on. Once past about 2k, it's fine and very strong.

Any suggestions/advice welcome,

Cheers

Yes - likely you can fix it

You need to establish which of the leveller brackets has broken though.

If its the levelling motor clips, a link is in the for sale section to new ones

If its the clip up inside the headlight, thats a slightly more involved issue.

Some headlights for sale here....

With regard to your other problem, see if the fuel filter has been replaced - this is a common cause of problems on these cars. Also, get the car scanned with VAGCOM/VCDS to check for faults.
