New Bumper Bump Strip Courtesy Of VW !!!!!

Took my car in to the dealers today for them to check out the boot lock / catch and when i went to collect the car i was told they had had a bit of an accident !!!!!!!

Turns out when they were washing the car ready for collection they were in the process of trying to scrape off a few flies when they pulled off a few chunks of paint from the body coloured bump strip on the front bumper instead.

They have obviously said they are going to pay for, and carry out fitting of, a new bump strip on their insurance.

Here's a piccy of the damage not to big but bloody noticable and defo in need of sorting out.

scraping flies

thats a bit much. i'm suprised u got ur car washed when u took it in though, don't think many others get that treatment, although i'm thinking that probably for the better now...

They seem to wash the car every time i've took it in.......unless it's just that particular delaerships rules etc........

at least there was no problems getting them to correct the damage

make sure they do a good job of the painting and dont settle for a second class job

mine was involved in rather nasty "incident" when it was in for a service... got a lovely long scratch/dent down the rear panel... they fixed this for me with no charge of course, but while it was in for this they managed to scratch the sh*t out of my drivers side window ... so went back again and got this replaced also!
