buying a GTI

What should I look out for?

I know about the pedal box etc, is there anything else?

corrosion on the alloy wheels seems to be a common problem... if buying from dealer try and get them replaced before you drive it away cos I am having trouble getting them replaced under warranty! and they cost Â£300 each to replace!!

7400 miles (not a miss type)
2001

but

small amount of corroshion on the two drivers side wheels

Thats a steal mate.

Mine had 35000 miles 2 and half month ago and cost me 7500.

I've also noticed a red 3 door at my local VW which was Â£9995. Thats around the same milage as the one you've seen.

Get it test driven, you'll fall in love instantly.

Gutted boys - paid Â£6250 for my baby with 17000 (Now 40K !!!) on the clock last september...
