Just wandered if there was an easy way of removing the VW badge on the GTI key fob without butchering the plastic surrounding the badge?!
Just replaced the battery as the key-fob was starting to occasionally not work and as I have a new GTI badge, I wanted to change it, but it didn't look easy to remove it and didn't want to butcher the surrounding plastic!
Any easy way of removing the VW badge on the key fob?

You could gently drill a small hole into the middle of the badge making sure you don't drill into the fob itself and then pick it out with a scriber? I've only changed one on my mk5 golf flip key and its not as recessed on that. That's the reason it gets scratched so easily and the polo one has survived.

I used a sharp knife / scissors / small screwdriver on mine to make a little hole. Then I levered it out with the screwdriver.

Cheers-sounds like it's best/easiest making a big enough hole in it so you can something in that to lever it out. Got a dremmel, so I'll probably try that!
