Another New Owner Of VW Polo (Reflex Silver)

Post by W E S T O N »

Hello

Just got myself a 5 door 2012 VW Polo 1.2 Match in reflex silver.

Really like the look of these Polos.

I just have 1 question,

On the trip computer I like to have it set to the petrol tank icon so I can see how many miles I have before having to fill up. On the Polo I can set it to the petrol tank icon but everytime the car is switched off and back on it goes back to showing the temperature instead. Is there anyway to set it permanently or am I going to have to change it everytime?

My previous cars were MK5 Golf & Leon FR and could set it fine and it would keep settings..

Liked my Leon but had to come back to VW :-)

First thing I want to do is debadge and get some nice wheels.

If you don't amend it back to fuel range before u set off does it stay on temp? I have mine set to current mpg and mine does initially show the temp when I switch it on but if I leave it and set off as normal it shows mpg... Or is your staying on temp regardless?

I believe that it will only default to the temperature mode, if the outside temperature is 4 degrees or below when the engine is started. Otherwise it stays on what you have selected even if you turn the engine off.

I'll have to check it today, as so far when I've drove it the temp has been low, so maybe it could be because of that.

I tried leaving it while driving but it just stays on the temperature, so hopefully it will keep my previous settings, so long as the temperature doesn't drop below 4 degrees.

Thanks for the replies.
