Can anyone tell me if all hub carriers for polo 9n are all the same

I need one for a 1.4 tdi and was wondering whether the ones on the petrol polls are the same

Yes, only the higher powered GTI will have the hub with the removable calliper bracket, and maybe the 1.9TDI Sport - or is that the GT?

Rum4mo's right, the GT (130) will have different hubs, the same as the Gti. The Tdi sport 100's will have the same hubs as any other model.

To the OP, always remember that the same part is used on 6L Seat Ibiza and Skoda Fabia on all their "lesser" models as well - of the same age.

I was going to suggest looking at the Ibiza and/or Fabia forums, but all you would probably find would be folk wanting to upgrade the front brakes - which starts with replacing the hub assembly.

I'm guessing that the calliper fixing holes have got stripped?

they were but i re threaded them in the end
