How to check brakes?

Post by Match »

Hi all, posted a couple of days ago about some problems I have encountered. Just wondering how I'd go about checking the breaks as they are squeaking and generally not sounding too healthy. I don't want to check if they work (they do ) but I want to know what I'm looking out for.

Thanks

It's most probably a build up of brake dust mate / not enough copper grease on the back of the brake pads. Try taking the wheel off, take the brake caliper off and give it a clean, maybe take the pads out and add a little copper grease in there should sort your problem out.
