1.4 tdi crank pulley

Hi guys

Is it safe to use an air gun to UNDO the 4 M8 bolts on the tdi crankshaft pulley? Will the gun be too powerful for it?

I would only use it on the centre bolt to be fair. The m8's won't be that tight

ok... thanks- does anyone know what engine code the 1.4 tdi is? its a 53 reg
