Candy White Polo Gti with Porsche Twists, Milltek Etc

Post by buzzmotorsport »

The time has come to sell my Polo Gti which I have owned for just over 2 years now! In the time I have owned it I have treated it well! It has always been given everything it needed and more!! Only selling as I have been offered a company car through work.

The Oil has been changed religiously with Genuine Filter and VW quantum every 3-4k, the 1.8t is renowned for sludge issues and therefore I took the precautions that should be taken. The turbo has always been warmed up and cooled down.

The mileage is 87,000 miles I purchased it on 52,000, but don’t let it put you off, the majority of this mileage was motorway and commuting to and from University and Work. The car however is stone chipped due to the motorway milage, however I have a local bodyshop who our company use that have agreed to sort this for me and they wanted £300. I can arrange this with the buyer if they feel it is necessary.
I have uprated all the bits that a Polo Gti should have come out the factory with and a few more! My aim with the car was to sort the chassis out and then give it some reliable power with a custom remap to suit the mods I chose. This is not your usual cheap remap R-Tech in Leicester have a very good name and the car is unreal. A friend who has a Revo map with the same Mods as me was shocked at the difference.
Here is what I have done to the car since I have owned it; it was a lady owner previous to me so was well looked after before as well!

So here’s a list of mods I have done so far and the order I did them in:
Chassis/brakes:
-Cupra bushes
-Front Cupra Strut brace
-Rear whiteline anti-rollbar.
-Weitec hicon coilovers
-312mm front brake set up from a mk4 gti (Brand new discs and pads recently all genuine VW stuff)

Engine:
-Forge 008 Diverter
-Forge Tip
-K&N Filter
-Milltek Full turbo-back exhaust
-Custom stage 1.5 R-tech remap
Results were 212 BHP and 264lft
(Additional to this is the Front mount intercooler I have fitted, i can have the car stage two for an additional £100 as the tuner agreed with me prior to my stage 1, I can so arrange this however I feel it is more than quick enough!!!)

Other:
-4k Hid's
-Roof painted Gloss black
-Mk5 gti flat bottom steering wheel
-Cruise control.
- Genuine Porsche Twist’s sprayed in Candy white to match the car.
-Redline Gearbox oil (makes the gearbox a lot smoother than the standard stuff vw use)

The car can come with both sets of wheels or either of the two, whichever you prefer price dependant obviously.
As well as this the Car will come with a years MOT.
I can also provide the majority of the Reciepts of the oil etc to confirm this car has been looked after.

Lastly the price. The list of modifications would cost £3000 I appreciate I will never see that money back, however I am looking for£6000 for the car and the mods. If it doesn’t sell I would consider splitting it, however, I really want somebody to own this car and enjoy it with the mods I have done as it is incredible!

Any viewings are welcome and questions will be answered as I know everything about this car!!

Thanks Alex

The photo's really do not do this car justice and I will upload some further pictures after the weekend:

Lovely GTi, I'm sure it won't hang around for long!

If you do decide to split the parts off, I'm after a full milltek system and I have an original to offer as P/X if you do need something to swap over :-)

Verry tempting, but the insurance would be too much. Any better companies for insuring modified cars?

Only 21, insurance quotes of the comparison sites would break the bank.

I'm sure a 21 year old could insure this for like £700-800 max if they tried.. I'm 23 with 2 crashes n can insure this for £450 max!

Even green light cant do it for me because it's such a jump from the mighty 54bhp 1.2 and the fact I have one of/thee the worst addresses in the UK for insuring a car. Said they can deal with everything but the remap. I'll be looking a good standard gti if anyone knows of any, I like blue. Good luck selling the car mate.
