Electric window only goes down three quarters of the way

Post by wackojackso »

I can find plenty of window faults having used the search feature just not one like this. My passenger side window goes up and down without issue but stops 3/4's of the way down (i.e wont go fully down), i've swapped switches and lubricated the door frame to help the window slide up and down but no luck. I guess it is either the regulator itself or something to do with the cables in the door. Has anyone had this issue or have any idea what it maybe, really quite annoying?

You might have a damaged regulator. The cables sometimes wear and jam

Only way to check is to remove it and inspect.

Mine did this. Removed door card and then lowered the window and away she went. Put the door card on whilst the window was still down and should be good to go.

Very strange indeed!

I already tried this and it didn't work, think I'm going to have to go with the full strip down shortly as Alex suggested! :(
