Hey Guys! My first car, a 1.2, 2002 Polo, is in need of a wee bit of work to get it up to standard.
I would really like to keep the original VW head unit but I want to install a subwoofer in the boot. My Problem is that I have been informed that The head unit doesn't have RCU connections....? and that to install a Sub and Amp Il need to get a new head unit... Does anyone know if this is true or if I could get like and adaptor or something along those lines? Thanks very much for your help!!!

Some subs accept speaker level inputs, or you can get speaker level-to-RCA adapter boxes. You splice them into your existing speaker loom at the back of the stereo and it converts into RCA for the sub. Some adapter models also have a remote switch built in which is even more useful.
Hope this helps
