Anyone know the location for the above module

told i may need to replace mine due to some of the retrofits im looking at

I belive they are part of the window winding mechanism...

The BCM is under the dash above the accelerator peddle. Look up and you'll see it and the two wiring connectors feeding it.

Consider very carefully before doing any mods that require re-wiring of the A or B connectors these are very hard to access.

What are you planning to do?

MFSW or automatic lights or a factory type xenon install all require the BCM connectors to be split and rewired. Front fogs in some instances may also.
It is doable just very difficult and really you need special tools to de-pin the existing connector quickly and possibly without splitting it down.

Slip ring pin 10 (LIN bus) needs to be soldered to BCM connector a pin 17 (violet-white), according to the wiring diagrams.

aah thats brilliant thanks. So does this mean if i want to retrofit xenons id have to get one of the last 2?

I know a guy who has fitted replicas of the oem xenons, I will ask which module is fitted in his GTI.
