I'm cuurently in the process of making some LED tube lighting for my footwells and would like your suggestions on a couple of points.
1. should i wire it up so they're only on when my sidelights are on.
2. should i put in a switch so i can turn them on and off.
3. where's the best place to wire them to.
I had a look behind my climate control compartment and found a few wires, but i haven't a clue which one to take a feed from for the LED's.
Any help, suggestions/advice would be appreciated.
Wiring LED's to a 12V source.

1+2: i would just wire them to a fused 12v link from say the battery, so that you can turn them on and off when you want to (eg when cops are about)

i would have said take a fused 12v source direct from the battery, but smeone may suggest a safer/more suitbale place

most of those will be used to control the climate control, if you don't know much about car electronics i would suggest going to a good auto electrician and get them to connect them up for you.
