has any or does anyone know if I can change the electric window switches in my gti for the chrome versions? Like the Passat versions?
I've seen them in other VW's and wondered how hard is it to do.
I assume the switches and plugs are different to what I have so would it be hard to retro fit them?

The mk5 switches are not compatible with any of the chrome ones. Vw changed the design when the 9n came out to match the passat and golf etc

It's possible to get the switches to fit into the holder (takes a bit of dremilling)
But never got around to getting them wired in before the car went
