The New 2014 Polo (Brochure)
Hi Guys,
So I emailed my local VW for some info on the new polo and they sent me the Price and Specification Guide.
Thought I would upload it for anyone wishing to have a look, as it is not on the VW site yet.

Thanks for that. Good to see at last that some of the electrical tech missing from the 6R seems to now be added. Highlights for me from the price list are the following (either standard or optional)
Adaptive cruise control
Auto Lights
Front parking sensors (as well as rear)
Rear view camera
Electric folding mirrors
Discover Navigation touch screen headunit (from MK7 Golf)

Yeah, I agree
It's a shame that the Bi-xenon dipped and main beam headlights with LED daytime running lights are only available on the BlueGT.
I was hoping to add them to my extra's list as a treat haa!

Also interesting is that according to the price list, with the Blue GT being uprated to 150ps (from 140ps), the Polo GTI appears to have been discontinued.
Whilst the GTi was no doubt a pocket rocket, I'm not really surprised it's been chopped as according to my dealer (when we purchased the wife's Blue GT), they had sold only one Polo GTi in 18 months prior to that (even though the 6r was their second best seller after the Golf). To be fair though, at the time of ordering, we were only their 3rd Blue GT (although it had only been available at the time for a couple of months). the Blue GT is very expensive for a Polo and the GTi was even more so.

The GTI will be coming in 2015 with either a manual or a DSG gearbox this time round as well as a power boost from 180 to 189bhp. Hopefully they will have sorted all of the issues this time round!Norbreck21a wrote:Also interesting is that according to the price list, with the Blue GT being uprated to 150ps (from 140ps), the Polo GTI appears to have been discontinued.

As I understand it, the GTI to follow in 2015, confirmed. Engine maybe 1.4 twin charge revised likely 1.8 Turbo rumoured Manual or DSG confrimed.
R 4WD rumoured, still no date or details confirmed.

its a bit spot the difference on the Blue GT, mine is a year old this week and done 18k and have to admit in no rush to replace and would probably wait for next gen

Re: The New 2014 Polo (Brochure)
anyone that has had a read through the brochure guide, am I right in saying that all models above S, feature Start/Stop Technology?
Re: The New 2014 Polo (Brochure)
The new brochure (I have this and the price list) states the GTi is due November 2014
Whilst the new audio is great, I was really hoping for some speaker upgrade options like those from the A1 and the Golf, Dynaudio would have been great, for me it's the only thing missing
The leather steering wheel with controls appears standard, so whilst the price is up a little from last year, more things are listed as standard. Still shows the LED/Xenon lights knocking the fog lights off the bumper though, but my brochure appears a not-yet-finalised one so this could be an oversight.

Re: The New 2014 Polo (Brochure)
You have a better brochure than me, mine must be the un-finalised one, I'll have a more in depth read but it looks like you can now have LED/Xenon and retain the fog lights on the BlueGT?
Also clear up the BlueGT seat fabric, my brochure looked like there was a choice of 3 colours for the standard seat?
Re: The New 2014 Polo (Brochure)
Me again...
It does say the Xenon are in lieu of fog lights...but it also says they have separate day time running LEDs' will these LED's be in the same location as the fog lights? If so I may be sold on the upgrade!

Re: The New 2014 Polo (Brochure)
See on the Brochure i have, it says the Xenon headlights and DRL's are only available for the BlueGT, at £785.00.. But then on a price list sent from a VW garage there available for the SEL and BlueGT.. Going to have to wait for the online configurator to confirm this..!nry wrote:Me again...

Nah, with Xenon' the LED running lights will be contained in the headlight units as normal.

Re: The New 2014 Polo (Brochure)
Yes, I agree, makes the front look correct, I spent lots of money buying things that might work on my B5 Passat - but never quite got round to making them fit, that car had HIDs but VW said it did not have foglights because you don't need them when you have HIDs - in other words, they could not fit them where they should go because the TDIs needed that space for intercoolers! I seem to remember have been happy to see that VW were going to offer HIDs with the 9N Polo - they lied! Anyway I've got a 2011 S4 with 6MT now, so back having foglights, even although they are only ever used by the car when leaving it etc.nry wrote:Shame, I like foglights
