Fuel Pump and Pressure Regulator

Hi Guys,

The other day I was driving along and all of a sudden my car lost power. When I say lost power I mean it was reving ok but when I put my foot down it was like it was in limp mode. Its been in the garage and the diag suggested it is fault with the Fuel Pump and Pressure regulator, which I thought ok fair enough until the garage quoted near £400 to fix it!!!
Does this sound about right and has anyone else had this issue. Ive always loved my vw's but this polo is becoming the bane of my life
