Polo Gti Cutting out
Hi I have a problem with the missus Polo its a 2000 AVY engine. On 1st start up in the morning it will cut out after about 10 mins. Once its cut out leave it for 5 mins restart then its fine for the rest of the journey. I've replaced the temp sensor anybody got any idea's?

You really need to scan it with VCDS
It sounds like a sensor fault, but it could be a dirty throttle body.

I had the same issue with my car in that it would cut out after about 5 minutes and then would need leaving at least a minute before starting again. I did a few things and now it is fixed but not sure what worked..
I tried putting in a bottle of redx with no luck and then I also had the throttle body taken off and cleaned and the air con serviced and recharged. The guy who took off the throttle body said it wasn't clogged up or anything so we assume it was the air con that fixed it although that doesn't make a lot of sense.
Regardless, the whole lot cost less than £50 so worth a shot I suppose. Sorry I can't give you any more of a technical answer
