BlueGT Tuning

Post by smurftech »

Struggling to find much regarding BlueGT tuning, the odd chip box type device, usually from Germany. The ones i've seen were quoted as 168bhp, - 176BHP, at least one of them was in German. The jfautomotive website doesn't list the BlueGT engine as far as I can tell - just the 1.4TSi from the GTI.

Here's one but it seems expensive: http://www.diesel-performance.co.uk/veh ... ps-blue-gt

I may be interested in trying something like a chip box or induction kit (maybe both), if only there was some decent choices. Plenty for the GTI but that's a different engine...

Really enjoying driving the BlueGT, reminds me a bit of my 205 GTi from my youth, I did a bit of tinkering with that car, loads of fun back in the early 90's - K&N, bilsteins, stainless exhaust, etc. I think the BlueGT would sound even better with a nice throaty induction roar - if there's a kit available ofc :)

Anyone have a list of which cars have the same engine as the BlueGT, there's a golf and an Audi A1 & A3 afaik, maybe some other VAG cars too? Maybe some tuning parts for those will fit the BlueGT...?

The Ibiza FR edition and some of the Leon range have it. It's a 1.4 TSI ACT - the fabia green line has this option too if I remember rightly :)

Bluegt chip tuning - loads out there, here's some i've found in 10 mins searching, if anyone has experience of using any of these (or others), please comment :)

Some of these sites look like they sell the same product, some are 5 times the price of others, I imagine there are some different technologies involved with these boxes...
No luck with induction boxes - nothing out there as far as I can see. Found a K&N panel filter which may (or may not) give a better induction noise, anyone got a panel filter upgrade in a bluegt and can confirm any difference in noise?

There's a chap on here with a UK supplied and fitted tuning box on his BlueGT....can't recall who or what though, but I think he has seen good improvements to performance and economy.

Ah, so they can do the BlueGT, it's just not in the vehicle search menus. What's the price of this remap from jfautomotive, can't see any prices on the website.

It's a not a remap I've got a module so I can remove it also they say it has the ability to adapt to anymore modifications, I make for example changing the exhaust. Cost £395

Thanks for the update, how's the blueGT performance after the work? Did you get a panel filter at the same time?

Really impressed with both performance and economy, I didn't bother changing the filter stock is for cars below 200bhp
