1.2tdi glow plug relay clicking

Hi
This is my first post. I've recently got myself a polo6r 1.2tdi. When it's cold there is a clicking coming from the glow plug relay about every 6 seconds until the engine gets up to full operating temp.
Is this normal it's doing my head in. The lights dim also when it clicks.
Has anyone else experienced this, the garage I bought it from said its a characteristic of the car but I can't believe that!!
Other than that I've lowered it on eibachs and fitted gloss black 17inch wheels and it looks great.

Had noticed this in my 1.6 tdi over the last week when its been sub 2-3 degrees (C).... so i think it could well be a characteristic of these cars...
dosnt bother me that much (If it bothers you, just turn up the radio )

I know. Call me ocd I just like things right. Surely this couldn't get past vw scrutenering.

Yeah, it does seem odd... I find my intermittent wiper relay quite loud too... I don't know if its to do with the type of relay they use or if they are just bad relays or something?
