I think mine was only in a full day for replacement of the pedal box and clutch, maybe a bit longer

it only takes a few hours to fit the pedal box itself.
then you've got the time for a technician to get the job, bring the car in get the parts etc
a day is bout the usual in my work :D

definitely
im actually ashamed the way some of you guys have treated from dealers and ive got nothing to do with them
i cringe at some of the stories ive heard
mind my dealer can be bad sometimes too
some technicians/staff cant be bothered with cars which gives the technicians who r enthusiasts a bad name

It is next day delivery on parts (except pedal clips apparently which break) and the work took an afternoon and a morning on mine. With the Steering Column and Dashboard out, this isn't really surpising!

But, I asked VW Customer Service about this and they say their technicians did it in 1.6 hours - I reckon they had 10 VW technicians working on it all at once then!

VW Dealers can only afford to give it to one engineer.

My dealer in Guernsey was so bad i always complained directly to VW CS. Then, the franchise went BUST. lol i pissed myself. So someone bought them out but held the same staff. They are trying really had to turn it around, its quite funny. A group doing customer service reasearch survey for VW always seem to know when ive just been to five oaks (vw dealer) and phone me up like the next day asking how ive been treated. I always answer really reluctantly to the points. it takes a while to gain trust, but a second to loose it, they lost mine ages ago.

booking mine in soon for PB replacement

A week?! To fix the pedal box?

I booked my GTi in on the Tuesday, it went in the following Thursday at 8am and I could have collected it at lunchtime - as it happens I took advantage of their shuttle service and got ferried to and from work so it was there all day.

So all in all, a day. And no problems since :D
