Hi all,

Ive installed a GT cam in my 6n AER and theres a great thread that Jarno did a while back but i have an AER and im not able to time this up.

I m using the standard sprocket and have seen guys setting this to 3-4 teeth back. But this is not possible from what ive done. I set the cam and then set the crank but the pistons hit.....

Please help! Jarno oh Jarno where art thou.....

You might be better to ask on polo3 as this was a common mod on the mk3 polo

When I fitted a GT cam to mine i timed it to TDC and checked it with a timing light

I can do. It is a mk4 though and surly this is also a common mk4 mod too

TDC the pistons touch. I did it too minus 5 teeth and it runs really rough
