Lead times

Post by JackM_24 »

Evening all, I thought it may be of interest to some if everyone with a 6c posted their order date and their delivery date as well as the options they went for. Just to see how close VW actually are, I've seen 12-16 weeks quoted for the 3 door and 16-20 weeks for the 5 door and possibly longer if you opted for a DSG box, but it would still be interesting to see.

Thanks :)

I ordered my BlueGT in January and asked for it in May, turned up a month early (April so mine was 12 weeks). Didn't pick it up until agreed date though in May....

It could have been because BGT's aren't as popular as the rest of the Polos below them...

Mine was a white DSG 3Dr :)

I ordered a 1.2TSI 110PS 6MT 5Door SEL for my wife back in 10/04/15, options selected were, winter pack + light and sight pack A + passenger airbag disable + climatronic - car was delivered to my dealer either last week or the week before - which was the indicated delivery time ("early August") at the time of placing the order.

Remember, in general, all 5 door RHD Polos are built in South Africa so their delivery time to Emden is roughly 7 weeks instead of the normal 1>2 weeks - periodically there were some exceptions to where the 5 door RHD Polos were built, and that included Spain and Germany and was restricted to Blue GT.

5 door B GT with xenons, climate, sat nav, winter pack, parking sensors, light & sight & arm rest.

Ordered 01.12.14, arrived 01.05.15, so roughly 21 weeks.

6 days for both my car and my wifes SE, but we opted for standard everything bar the wheels and paint so they were stock cars.
