Advice on suspension and brake upgrade

Post by Tonksie93 »

Hi, first time on this forum so forgive me if this post is in the wrong section.

Ive got a 9n 1.9 pd100 sport which has had a few mods by the previous owner and its pretty rapid. Its been lowered on some FK or technics coilovers but there way to harsh for my liking considering i do 50 mile daily commutes and spirited driving over pot hole ridden country lanes. I'm interested in the H&R comfort suspension kit just wondering if anyone has had any experience with these? Also is this kit sometimes referred to as the cup kit as i can find many reviews on them. I will also be polybushing the whole car while im at it so i dont mind soft suspension aslong as it still provides good feedback.

Regarding the brakes i have fitted 15" alloys compared to the 17" the car came with to try to combat the harsh ride so i am keeping the standard size, i have some Tarox slotted discs front and rear waiting to be fitted and i am considering Yellowstuff pads, any experience with these? Or any better alternatives with good cold bite and high heat resistance, not too fussed about dust lol.

I recently brought a set of braided brake lines but realised they were the wrong set when i tried to fit them! I need the 6 line set ( 2 front 4 rear) if anyone knows where i could get a set that would be great!

Cheers guys!
