Hi All Got a Few issues

Post by LilLew »

HI all

I have a few problems with the mrs 2001 1.0 (AUC) 6n2
Recently taken it for mot and failed on emissions high HCO and CO2

So we done some tests and found out the Head gasket was gone so I have changed that and emissions are now a lot better no white smoke

I now have started up for the first time and I heard a small pop and found the oil pump seal have let go and leaking oil I am have problems undoing the crank bolt can anyone help with telling me how I can lock the crank off and if the thread is left handed or right handed

So Far I have tried
locking off camshaft but the cambelt slips when tension is applied
removed the started motor and used a big screw driver on the flywheel

But to no avail
I do have a replacement oil pump to fit and a crankshaft seal

You need a flywheel locking tool

It's a standard bolt ie undoes anti clockwise

Presume this is the crank seal on the Cambelt side?

It locks into the teeth via the starter hole

Have you got a Haynes manual? The process is detailed quite well in there
