Brake lights blow fuses, wiper and central locking don't work

Post by chadney123 »

Hi,

I'm a newbie here, so please go easy on me!
I no this may have been asked loads, but can't find a definitive answer.

My friend has brought a VW Polo 9n 2004, and as the tittle suggests there is electrical problems in the boot.

First of all the brake switch was broke she he changed that and then we noticed the fuse blew. This is when the job was handed to me!?
So I look in the boot and noticed that on the lower the wires had already been modified by a previous owner, pfft! Here's what I have got:

1.The left cluster loom has had the top tailgate white wire soldered onto the black/red wire.
2. The yellow connector on the left has had the brown/white wire cut with nothing attached also matting half has nothing in
3. Yellow connector black wire in connector, but mating half has nothing in
3. I have 2 cut white wire from the boot loom. They don't buzz out to anything, one is 0.5mm and seems so be an ground? The other is 16/0.2 wire does not buzz to anything.
4. The red/blue wire from the door locking switch buzzed to ground
5. Wiper arm does not work, but jet does
6. The black and yellow connector in boot/left seem to have water damage/greened at some point
7. I thought I had the brake lights fixed, as they worked but come back today and blow the fuse

All the white wires have been cut out of the loom from the boot I believe?

I connected the wire which was connected to the black/red I connected to the black wire in the yellow connector but the tail brake lights stays on, when you brake it goes off?

Any help would be really appreciated
Thanks
