6Q0 071 675 for 1.2 + 1.4 engines
6Q0 071 676 for 1.4 auto gearbox
6Q0 071 677 for 1.9 TDi/SDi and 1.4 TDi

All the kits are Â£95 + VAT exc. Â£10 carriage.

The problem? Not sure if they are actually approved in the UK. Though hopefully this will be easily overcome with a call tomorrow

The drop is 25-30 mil.

Please note they are Â£95 PLUS VAT and PLUS carriage. So your looking at Â£125 total. Then getting them fitted is another matter. VW prices will be astronomical so the best bet is not to tell them they've been fitted (they probably wouldn't notice anyway

)

It definatley pays to shop around with VW dealers, my normal delaer (where I bought my car) is ok, BUT another dealer not too far away is much better, much more competitive and friendlier!

Plus, I have a kinda contact at a VW place down south who is unbeliablely competitive

and Mole can vouch for this.

Front, and both sides skirts new boxed VW stock cost me 140 quid inc vat and deliverym not bad eh. Anyway I'm moving off the pint here so back to Suspension...has anyone got this kinda drop as I'd liek to see what it looks like as it is affordable... cheers

Well, my kit was fitted yesterday and after 100 miles of driving here is what I think...

BUY THIS KIT

I drove an A2 Sport this week and while driving it through the country lanes thought 'Nice and taught, I hope my car turns out like this'.
Well, it turned out MUCH, MUCH better than I ever would have expected. The drop is certainly noticable and the rear still looks like it has another 5 mil to go

Another thing which has been cured is the 'pitch and dive' effect of having a small engine. Body roll has been all but elimated (the tyres loose grip now before your wing mirror is touching the floor!!) and believe it or not it actually soaks up bumps better than it did with standard springs!! Though I may point out rather obviously anything under 10mph is quite bad

I've been driving through the local town centre looking at meself through the shop windows and the car now looks the dogs *ahem*!

Martyn, if your at Inters I owe you a pint!!

p.s. I might add I was keeping up rather well with a Merc 3.2 Cabriolet earlier today on the twisty country lanes, the car will just not roll!! lol

Springs are painted light blue and are Eibach

Eibach = Quality if I'm not mistaken. Must be, as they're VAG OE.

So no warrenty issues then?

I didn't bother to ask

Thing is, most dealers couldn't care less anyway and if they do decide to reject a claim i'll just point out that its offered as a genuine accessory on ETKA and they are a VAG owned company (I think!!)

If it's on ETKA, you're in the clear I'd think. They can't prove you didn't fit it with a VAG dealer, so that's no real concern. Green lights all round then!

its the dealer approved item appeal thats getting the sales cos you are still fully under warrenty even with theese fitted

My car currently looks like its in the circus, on stilts

so I was thinkning about the VAGpart.com lowerng springs that nelson got or possibly H+R coil overs

1. what is the diff betwen the two products...and
2. Are H=R coil overs going to be 'aproved' by VW
3. How much am I looking for VW to loweer my car#(fitting and labour) any guesses? and privately?-Though someone on here must work for VW(if you do-do you want to earn some Â£'ssss+beer!??

1. The VW approved kits are just springs. The H&R coilovers or any coilovers for that matter (I have KW) are new shocks as well (adjustable ones at that!!). You can alter the height of your car just by altering the shocks.

2. No is the answer!

3. About 3-4 hours I would say, at what, Â£60 per hour for VW.

I did my own, took a bit longer but I learnt so much about my car and I'm glad I did it, even thought at one point I nearly kicked my car off the axle stands and threw every spanner and socket in sight at it, but I walked off and calmed down luckily!
