First new car Ive owned. 2018 beats TSI 95ps.
Drove it for about a month now, love it. Fuel economy is about 45mpg first full tank of petrol so not too bad. Black is hard to keep clean but hopefully once weather picks up thatll be easier to manage. The car is just a pleasure to drive, holds the road very well and takes bumps in the road well. The beats sound system is brilliant too. Highly recommend those thinking of one to try a test drive. The 95ps tsi doesnt feel like a 1.0 litre!

Looks good Dave! You can’t beat a clean and shiny black car for looking good, but as you say it does take sa little effort to keep it looking that way. I’ve had my fair share of black cars, and I’d be happy to have another.
Any pictures of the interior? I’m still a little uncertain of cream, grey and red interior of the Beats model, and it probably wouldn’t be my choice, but then I’m old and set in my ways
, and it’s good that we don’t all like the same things, otherwise life would be boring.
Enjoy your car!

Thanks SRGTD! I think you can choose different colours for the inside, i went with the red dash as im a liverpool fan lol. Seats are really comfortable too on long journeys.

Thanks for putting up the interior pictures. It does look much more spacious than my 2016 Polo, and very close - size wise - to the mk4 Golf I owned in the early 2000’s.
The new Polo is currently at the top of the list when the time comes to change my car. Won’t be for a couple of years though, so I’m hoping by that time, the issues causing long wait times that many forum members are currently experiencing will have been sorted.

Guess I was lucky, i went in to local vw dealership just to see what they had and they had one of these to test drive and had another on its way to them. Enjoyed the test drive that much I had one 9 days later all done lol.
Boot space and room in the back is really good for a car this size imo, I was able to fit a 55inch lg oled in the back no problem by putting down the back seats. Also room in the front is great, no banging elbows with the front seat passenger!

I did my test drive in the beats and liked the interior. The only thing is I’d be worried about the cream areas ending up dirty with fingerprints etc.
I prefer the wheels on yours as they are 16” (mine are 15”), but I just can’t get away with the line down the bonnet.
Nice car though mate and glad you are enjoying it.

Car looks absolutely stunning. How long did it take from order to being delivered? Currently waiting for my polo beats to be built but haven't heard anything yet

Thanks mate yeah the wheels was one of the selling points for me. Look stunning. The cream parts seem easy cleaned, was a couple of footprints from my nephews when i took them to the cinema lol.wizzywig27 wrote: Wed Apr 11, 2018 9:55 am I did my test drive in the beats and liked the interior. The day I had the test drive, i had my one 9 days later keys in hand. They had ordered 2 and I was just lucky my one was already on its way to them. I couldnt take the chance of someone else buying it and having to wait 2-3months. Glad I did the car gets better every time im in it. Love it. Theres no way if you told me I would have owned a 1.0l a couple months ago Id of believed you but this honestly doesnt feel like a 1.0l. Feels sporty 0-60, I can do almost 60 in second gear lol. I live in quite a hilly area and the torque of the turbo helps immensely not having to change down gears as much. Brilliant wee car.jdunstone16 wrote: Wed Apr 11, 2018 3:34 pm Car looks absolutely stunning. How long did it take from order to being delivered? Nice car, enjoy, good stuff. Could you please tell me what revs you are pulling at 60MPH and 70MPH, in 5th not 2nd (!), if you've taken it to that speed. I'm considering either a 1.0SE 95PS or a 115PS SEL, as I do 1-2 week 50mile motorway & A-road round trip + the odd very long motorway trip, i.e. 1500miles round trip, and don't want to hold high revs at high-ish speeds fro long periods....

Will do next time im in car. Do you want to know also what the consumption stats says at them speeds? What I will say is you wouldnt even realise your doin 70, its effortless.stevereeves wrote: Wed Apr 25, 2018 2:46 pm Nice car, enjoy, good stuff. Re: First new car Ive owned. 2018 beats TSI 95ps.
Yeah MPG also would be great. I'm more interested in the RPMs as, I posted somehere else, I once had a 5speed Seat Leon which spun (screamed) at 3800RPM whilst doing 70MPH, poor car. For comparison my Golf mk7 is revving approx 2400 RPM at 70MPH, I'm not into giving cars unnecessary 'grief'. Enjoy your new car but please, don't thrash it for my benefit

2200 rpm in fifth gear at an indicated 60 mph, so probably more like 55 mph. 70 mph should scale linearly. 95 PS SE 5 gear.stevereeves wrote: Wed Apr 25, 2018 2:46 pm Nice car, enjoy, good stuff.
