Electric Window and door mirror switches reversed...

Hello!

I have an 04 plate Polo which I've been driving for about 12 months.

I took it to get the AC re-gassed last night, which it turns out couldn't be done because there was a leak in the system somewhere.

Anyway, didn't cost me anything and I drove home. This morning, however, when I got to to work I pressed the button to put my window down to swipe my pass the on the barrier, it turns out that somehow the left and right buttons for my electric windows have been reversed, along with, it turns out, my door mirror controls.

Is there a quick fix for this? I don't mind getting my hands dirty...

Or would I be better taking it back to the garage?

Has the problem just started or was it always like that? Older Polos do on occasion have electrical gremlins. I've had similar on my 2002. If it doesn't clear an ECU reset (disconnecting the battery for a while) might be worth a try. If it's gremlins it might well clear itself (until next time).

It's only become a thing since the aborted AC re-gas. I wasn't sure if they had disconnected something and reconnected it upside down?

I work in IT... You'd think I'd have tried the classic 'turning it off and on again', but I haven't! Will have a go at lunch and report back.
