Can anyone help? Vent selector arm problem

I was changing the heater controls that the mechanic pulled out for me. When we went to install new one the spring arm that controls which vents the air goes to has been pulled loose. We now have the console off but cannot find where it connects to. Can anyone enlighten us or is it back in to the mechanics?

Have managed to find where it goes using a braille like fashion!
