Hello
Used to have one of these for my Golf and it was amazing but it wasnt compatible with my 2017 BlueGT so I had to sell it and at the time I couldnt find any new ones that were compatible either so for the last 2 years I have just made do with the standard one,
I know I can use Android Auto but its not great and I have to plug my phone in as well which isnt that convenient, I would prefer a proper stand alone unit with internet access that can load apps itself such as some of these in this link
https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from ... 8&_sacat=0
I have emailed Xtrons to see if they have any themselves, whilst waiting for them to reply I just wanted to ask on here as well incase any of you have upgraded yours and had any luck with one that works
Cheers

Re: Aftermarket Android Stereo Screen
AliExpress has Android units that will work in the 6R or 6C. Actually so many I just don't know which are good or not.
Xtrons has the most OEM look to me, but there have been a number of reports of bad quality and devices not lasting very long. But then you don't really buy one of these expecting a warranty of any kind.
There are a bunch of other brands on AliExpress, but look for the those based on the PX6 platform. Most of them come with the proper harness and often the canbus interface apparently. Judge by sellers feedback score, negative vs positive ratio, etc.
I also see the Russian folks like the Teyes Pro CC2.
Their is also a Germany-based supplier, but I don't have a link on hand. They looked good, but older platform.
You can check up on popular units over on XDA forums, along with known features, faults, limits, mods, etc.
I'm still trying to figure out which one of them to go for as well. Problem is that one only ever sees negative feedback rather than good.

I thought my golf one began with the letter L but I cannot find it anywhere, but then I saw the name Xtrons and thought maybe it was Xtrons... whichever it was, there were skeptical reports of my model too but I thought it was fantastic!
This one apparently fits the blue GT but I have more research to do before I jump the gun to buy:

unfortunately you may be out of luck finding a unit compatible with the 6c.
if you find one that states it will work with a golf 7 that means it should also work with the polo 6c.
there are some that work from well known manufactures but they are £1k+

6R = 2009 - 2014
6C = 2014 - 2017
Re: Aftermarket Android Stereo Screen
oh ok i just know it as bluegt,
if I cant change the stereo, then how about a mobile docking holder/station for the car that easily grabs a phone and acts as if it is connected via USB so that android auto fires up easier
something like this:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/iBolt-ChargeDo ... 724&sr=8-3
What do you all use ? any recommendations, i like convenience i guess
