Solid Yellow oil light

Hi guys,

Back again, mrs complaining that her car has a solid yellow oil light on the dash.

I normally think of this of the oil is low, checked and it was so topped it back up.

unfortunately the yellow light keeps coming back whether or not the engine is started.

Any ideas?

Found the issue, turns out the bonnet "reset" switch was broken on her car. Little fiddle about and fixed it.

Good, that is the usual problem, that bonnet switch has other uses as well like warning that the bonnet is not closed and interrupting the wiper operation, as well as not clearing that low oil warning until the bonnet has been opened.
