Rear Light Trouble

Hello, I have just disconnected and then reconnected my left rear light on my Polo 6R GTI. After reconnecting, the light bulb warning has come up on the cluster and the left light isn’t working. The brake, reverse and indicator lights still work on it. Has anyone got and solutions? Cheers.

check if the connector is properly seated and whether there is anything rattling inside your tail light.

The connector is properly seated and the light doesn’t rattle. Could removing it have caused a bulb or fuse to go?

I have a similar problem with my Polo 2011 6R1. The Light warning light is on on the dashboard and it seems that one of the reverse light is not working. I changed the bulb and still, the light would not come on in reverse and get the warning on the dashboard. Could this be a fuse issue or short circuit somewhere?

the polo only has one reversing light.

On the left there is the rear fog light and on the right the reverse light

In the UK, reverse light on the left and rear fog on the right
