Rear shocks - 6C (2015 1.2 TSI)

Post by Slider09 »

Hi

Does anyone know what type of rear shocks a 2015 1.2 TSI has, mono tube or twin tube?

Left is weeping slightly so going to replace both. Looking on AUTODOC they do a mono and twin tube - which do I need?

Thanks

Have you checked the part number of the originals on your car?
It should be stamped on somewhere or they may have a sticker on them.

Hey, for your 2015 1.2 TSI, it's most likely equipped with twin-tube rear shocks. Mono-tube shocks are usually found on performance-oriented setups. If you're replacing them, stick with twin-tube for the best fit and feel. It's not quite as thrilling as a high score in Slope Game, but essential for a smooth ride!
