Hi I have a Polo GTI, thinking about changing the wheels.
Just wondering whats the lowest offset i could get away with on a 8 inch wide wheel?
Thinking of going for a 225/40R18 tyre on a 18 x 8.0" wheel.
Thank you.
Photoshopped them on to see haha.

Re: Wheel Offset
They look like Bola B6 alloys.
Forum member RichTee has these on his lowered (by 35mm) GTI in 8Jx18” size. He said he doesn’t experience any clearance / rubbing issues - see recent discussion thread at the link below (7th post in the thread);

Re: Wheel Offset
Lots of alloys for 18x8 wheels here for the polo gti:
https://www.rimstyle.com/alloywheels/se ... l8.00l8.00
Most wheels there are set up with an offset of 45 and a few have 48 offsets.
Whatever you do, check fitment before lowering or driving off. My 45 offset wheels needed an extra 3mm spacer on the rears because of the design of the alloy hub curved in quite shallow so it would have made contact with the rear brakes without the spacers.
