Polo GT TSI 6R IND 2018 (Panda)
Hello there!
I own a Polo GT TSI (6R IND) model which is run a little less since I have an office car as well.
I plan to add some convenience and comfort features to my car and am greatly inspired by the mods done by the forum members.
I look forward to all of yours' support in entrancing my Polo.

Re: Polo GT TSI 6R IND 2018 (Panda)
I recently tried to enable 4k OPS on my car with stock sensors as VW had stopped supplying the OPS feature.
I bought the module 6R0919475 from ebay and a CANBUS extension Harness.
I added the CAN connection by:
HIGH (T16/6 to T32/28) Orange Black
LOW (T16/15 to T32/T29) Orange Brown
The T16/6 was occupied by a Blue-Black wire which was isolated with a sleeve.
Good news is that the parking sensor all buzz and there is no loss in original Function.
Bad news is that despite all the effort and arranging the right parts, there is no OPS display on the RCD340. The RVC display comes but I don't have an option to switch to OPS display.
I checked VCDS and OPS display is already enabled. Not sure what's wrong.
I am adding the VCDS scan below:
Request someone to help me with the correct coding and to also help resolve the other error codes.

Gateway -> installation list -> check 10
Have a look at the adaptations for the ops module and coding for the radio.

Re: Polo GT TSI 6R IND 2018 (Panda)
Thank you Iichel! I'll check the installation list again and check 10.
Also, do you think that the Brake lamp fault is also related to this?
Unfortunately my VCDS cable broke and I have to visit a friend d to get changes done. Would you happen to have the correct coding that I can use?Have a look at the adaptations for the ops module and coding for the radio.

Re: Polo GT TSI 6R IND 2018 (Panda)
Coding is specific per module part number, I don't know the codes for this OPS and radio. The brake light issue is marked as intermittent, so perhaps it's not even active.

Re: Polo GT TSI 6R IND 2018 (Panda)
Okay, thank you Iichel!
I'll first check the gateway and then re-check the adaptations. Al though, I think the adaptations were correct unless I've tried to activate something that can't be activated but then Coding would've not been accepted?

There might be a channel for reverse display, and it can be OPS, camera or automatic. Can you please show what your radio displays, in reverse gear?

Hello panda gt tsi
As iichel suggested, you must register your new ops module by enabling address 10 in gateway installation list.
The adaptation channel " Visual display for park assist".. set it to " automatic" in new ops module.
Post the result,
Good luck
Have you installed after market tail lights?

Thank you, I will activate address 10 in the gateway and confirm. I have the RCD340 and display shown is the standard reverse camera interface. I don't get the button to switch to OPS display. I forgot to click a picture, will share it with you tomorrow.
Hello Patil, you have have done wonderful mods, I am glad to met you here. Read all about your car.patil wrote: ↑Thu Jul 29, 2021 12:51 pm Hello panda gt tsi

Thanks for confirming the gateway activation. I will borrow a VCDS and do this on the weekend. Hopefully these errors won't cause a problem till then.
I have not installed aftermarket lights but I did update them to the latest design of Tail Lamps being sold right now (GTI style). I did it the OE way and changed the connector to the new type and then installed so there should not be a problem with that but surprisingly still got this error.

Re: Polo GT TSI 6R IND 2018 (Panda)
Hi,
Do, I've been away for a bit. I managed to fix the OPS issue and everything works great.
I'm planning the below mods soon:
1) MFSW with Paddle Shifters (I will keep the stock look)
2) Flip badge RVC since the one on the number plate is not usable during rains
3) Light in Boot
4) 12V socket in Boot
5) Light in Glove box
6) Addition of USB points in one of the blacks near the Hazard light switch
7) OEM WRMs for auto fold and unfold along with heated ORVMs
Request your guidance for points 3 to 7 along with the correct part numbers and wiring.
I look forward to learning more from all of you knowledgeable members.

Re: Polo GT TSI 6R IND 2018 (Panda)
Hi PandaGTTSI
Here are my recommendations/ Suggestions for your new pipeline mods.
3) Light in Boot:
1x 7L6-947-101-A (trunk light assembly, including one incandescent bulb)
1x 1J0-971-972 (2 pin connector)
1x 000-979-019 (repair wire)
wiring:
+ from front dome light/footwell light wire(t73a/65)
- from tailgate lock switch ground wire (t73a/31)
4) 12V socket in Boot:
You need this kit for easy plug and play installation. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Car-Cigarette- ... 632-2357-0
Remember, this wiring harness has maximum length of 1.25m, which isn't enough to route it into the boot from front 12v socket. You must lengthen this wiring by adding additional 3m of wires (1.5mm2 thickness) inbetween to make it approx 4-4.5m long.
You also need this oem 12v outlet cover: 1K0919341F9B9
Eg: viewtopic.php?p=579180#p579180
5) Light in Glove box:
viewtopic.php?p=467245#p467245
wiring:
+ from front dome light/footwell light wire(t73a/65)
- from any nearby ground point.
courtesy: Master Ciclo
6) Addition of USB points in one of the blacks near the Hazard light switch:
Why this? Personally I feel it spoils the neat central console layout and would look out of place. I think you should contact 3D printing expert like Amir(Benzikopf) for this.
7) OEM WRMs for auto fold and unfold along with heated ORVMs
viewtopic.php?p=565787#p565787

Remember, this wiring harness has maximum length of 1.25m, which isn't enough to route it into the boot from front 12v socket. You must lengthen this wiring by adding additional 3m of wires (1.5mm2 thickness) inbetween to make it approx 4-4.5m long.
You also need this oem 12v outlet cover: 1K0919341F9B9

5) Light in Glove box:

wiring:
+ from front dome light/footwell light wire(t73a/65)
- from any nearby ground point.

Re: Polo GT TSI 6R IND 2018 (Panda)
Hi @ag29 @patil
Thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly!
Just wanted to understand small points since I'm not very experienced.
1) For the light, I've already gotten the light assembly, the connector mentioned is to go into the light. For the other end where I take the power from, T73 means BCM right? Can I take the + from the Dome light by creating a Y-split cable and the - from the boot stitch T4/2? Any benefit of taking from BCM? Also, I don't want to splice any wire so what all connectors should I buy?
2) Thank you for the ebay link, I bought the same and will extend the wire as suggested. Any recommended wire that I should use? Please share an Amazon link if available.
3) I'm thinking that light for the boot and the glove Box can use the same connecting. Will that be correct?
4) I want to add the USB port I have my phone mount with wireless charging cable. Right now the wire goes from the 12V socket and looks bad. With the new USB Socket, I could use a smaller wire which will mostly hide behind the phone mount
(I keep the phone mount there as the AC vent keeps the phone cool during summers). I thought about adding an OEM Qi wireless mat but there's no space. I was thinking of I add a USB, the power supply can be taken from the 12V socket itself and I'll mount it behind the infotainment
5) Your installation guide is great and the coding is also shared so that will be of great help. I've been unable to find the right WRMs at a decent price. I also looked for the Heated ORVMs but not sure if the parts on Boodmo are correct. If you have a link from where I can purchase these I'll be grateful!
6) I also got the Oznium LED Lamps like graaja from Teambhp. I'm thinking that I'll install them using the footwell extension Lamp harness that people use to add Footwell Lights for the rear.
In open to any other great ideas that all of you have and for any help that you can extend with regard to parts and creating the harness.
I've seen Benzikopf's threads and that's a great idea if he can 3D Print me a small black for the USB.
I look forward to impending these soon. Thank you!
