Polo GTI weird steering noise

Hello

I took delivery of my brand new Polo GTI just over 3 weeks ago and have noticed this noise when in full lock either turning left or right. There has been a load of threads about this before that I can see online but no one actually confirmed why its happening. I first noticed it in an indoor car park and since hearing it, I can always hear it when reversing off my drive, and parking up everywhere now. Once you hear something and you're concerned about it you can forever hear it then

Can someone confirm if I should be worried or if it is expected and is literally just noisy from the electronic steering. It sounds like a crunching/screaking noise its pretty hard to put into words. So many people have posted this problem but I just wanted to be sure.

Any info would be much appreciated.

Pretty sure that video was posted by me.

I've had no issues with the steering since then, it does make the same sort of noise from time to time. I've learnt to live with it.

The squeaking breaks issue since day 1 has been more annoying. That should be fixed in November... after 2 years.

As long as it’s nothing to worry about and it’s not going to damage the car I think I can live with it. Today it hasn’t actually done it weird enough seems to be when it’s wet mainly? No idea but oh well…
