Place the part

Post by Andy Beats »

Hi, lads and lassies.
Back briefly to see if you can help identify what this part is.
Daughter said she found it "like in the cup bit in the driver's door" of her Polo United.
Cheers

Does it have a part number (9 - 11 digits) on it?

@Andy Beats; I thought your daughter was going to get rid of her Polo last year and replace it with a Renault Zoe EV.

Has she grown to love her Polo?

I found a similar looking plastic spare part in my last Polo. It had a part number stamped into it and it was an end stop for the front seat rails.

No, replacing it is still on the cards depending on what she's doing with Uni etc.
She likes the Polo, but prefers the drive of my Leaf (and reduced cost and convenience of recharging).

Is this not a device that possibly connects to the tow eye?

Like a tool that removes the towing eye cover?
Could be a good shout, I'm waiting for a photo of any part numbers on it.

It might be something they should remove in pre-delivery inspection. I saw the procedure somewhere in erWin but probably didn't save it localy and I don't have erWin access anymore.

It could be something to do with the rear boot lid emergency storage compartment.
