2019 Polo with MFD problem-sorted, thanks

Due to covid and not working, the battery warning light came on on my Polo. I charged it up and now I am having an error wth the MFD display. When I turn the engine on the centre display between the two clocks displays a car. I press ok on the steering wheel to select the speedo display and all is well. As soon as I switch the engine off and back on the display reverts to the car symbol and I have to press the ok button to get it to go back to speedo. When showing the car the up and down arrows have no effect only the ok button. Any ideas what it may be?

Looks like your bonnet is open

It shows your engine hood is open, probably not closed properly. Open the hood and close it.

thanks guys, you were both correct. It looked closed but obviously wasn't. Popped it open, again, let it drop and the problem went away.
I contacted the local dealer yesterday by phone, asked to send them photos, which I did. Despite emailing them again today there has been no response from them.
