Rear offside knock noise returned with a vengeance!!

Some of you may remember that soon after I took delivery of my Polo in July 2020 I discovered that it was developing a knock type noise from the offside rear around the petrol cap area possibly, anyhow after 3 weeks of having the car including some time at their body shop they could not find the issue or resolve it, everything was checked apparently, lubricated etc and the problem seemed to decrease, it has reared its ugly head on and off over the last 2 years mainly at slow driving, over rough ground bumps etc and whilst turning, I guess I've just learned to live with it somehow, noise seems to go away some what during winter but comes back with a vengeance when it gets hot, so its just been back to VW and they could not replicate the noise apparently even though the technician came with me for a drive and heard the noise, the workshop manager took the car out the next morning and said he could hear nothing. I was relieved went to pick it up and...... heard the noise all the way home! I'm now mentally exhausted trying to fix this problem and its ruining my ownership experience. Any advice?

Bit of a stock reply. But have you tried taking it to a different dealer? Assuming you have one within a sensible distance.

I know only too well how annoying these sorts of recurring problems are. Just spoils the whole car ownership experience.
