Removing glovebox without trigging the airbag light

I need to remove the glovebox to replace the heater resistor.

I have seen serval Youtube videos where the airbag light is triggered as it's necessary to remove the passenger airbag control switch.

Is there a way that you can remove to glovebox (or get to the resistor) without trigging the light?

I guess the easiest way, would be to remove the negative connection on the battery then try turning on the radio to make sure all voltage is drained from the system.

Once thats done you should be safe to dismantle the dash and glovebox without risk of a facefull of Airbag
