Hi Folks,
Hoping someon has had experience of retrofitting the KUFATEC cruise control kit.
I have bought the right kit to fit to my AW Polo GTI (2020).
I have had this installed by a VW specialist up here in Scotland. Where we are stuck is the 5 digit code to locate and enable this in ODIS.
I have the GRA Activation booklet, which has the three codes within to enable the retrofit, but the garage can’t find the 5 digit code required by ODIS to locate the kit to allow enabling it.
I have been in contact with Kufatec, and they don’t understand what I am trying to relay from the garage, and I dont understand what the garage is trying to explain, as I am not familiar with ODIS. I’m piggy in the middle.
Garage can’t get tech support in the UK, as the OEM ‘kit’ doesn’t exist here!
Make sense? There’s a question hidden in there somewhere!

So you have a Polo GTI 2020 without CC?
My thought was that all Polo AW in Europe were fitted with at least CC and, when ordered, ACC
Hope someone here can provide an acces code voor ODIS then

I know, seems ridiculous that it is not spec’d as standard on this model of car. Turning into an expensive retrofit and a big headache.

Re: KUFATEC Retrofit Cruise Control Set - ODIS
In the UK there were two trim levels for the pre-facelift GTI; the standard GTI and the GTI+, the difference being equipment levels. The price of a new GTI+ over a new standard GTI was significantly less than the cost of the additional equipment that the GTI+ had as standard so when I bought my car in 2020 I went for the GTI+.
The GTI+ gained the following items of spec over the standard GTI; adaptive cruise control, front centre armrest, AID digital instrument cluster, LED headlamps, darker tinted windows from the B pillar back, auto wipers, auto lights, coming home / leaving home light function, electrically folding door mirrors with reverse activated dipping kerbside mirror, keyless entry / keyless start.

Does the GTI+ also get a drivetrain upgrade like standard DCC, more power, DSG etc? It seems to be a UK-only trim.

Yes, I think the GTI+ was a UK-only trim level on the pre-facelift Polo. With the facelift model, there’s no GTI+ trim level.
The GTI+ didn’t get any extra power over the standard model, but both the GTI and GTI+ got DCC as standard.

That explanes a lot.
Likely UK only like iichel said

Just in case someone is looking in the future, the access code in ODIS to enter the GRA activation codes for cruise control is : 11463
Got this installed with the help of Star Performance in Glenrothes, Scotland.
