I'd like to have a read-out of the oil temperature somewhere in my car, whether that's in the MFD or a vent display etc.

What are the solutions?
p.s. I've tried searching but haven't found anything solely relating to the 6R! Thanks.

My GTI IC (high line MFD).
My Standard/factory IC (low line MFD).
I don't know if anyone tried to modify the EEPROM of a low line MFD IC to display the oil temperature...

I did this a few times to a WRC cluster. It's exactly as you describe ciclo modify those values in EEPROM
